Gun control proponents introduce bill to lessen seriousness of drive-by shooting charges

You can’t make this up!!!! Thanks Rob Romano for pointing this out.

Now, look at the reason:

What is aggravated murder (which they wish to not tie to drive-bus anymore):

a murder made more serious by its violent circumstances

(7) The murder was committed during the course of or as a result of a shooting where the discharge of the firearm, as defined in RCW 9.41.010, is either from a motor vehicle or from the immediate area of a motor vehicle that was used to transport the shooter or the firearm, or both, to the scene of the discharge

Pure insanity. Here‘s Rep Hackney:

The last several years I have had the opportunity to devote myself even further to causes I believe in. In 2018, I joined the Boards of Tabor 100 and the Alliance for Gun Responsibility Foundation, where I advocate in the state of Washington on behalf of civil rights and responsible gun laws, respectively.

Here’s Rep Simmons:

The mission of Alliance for Gun Responsibility?

The Alliance for Gun Responsibility works to end the gun violence crisis in our community and to promote a culture of gun ownership that balances rights with responsibilities. Through collaboration with experts, civic leaders, and citizens, we work to find evidence-based solutions to the crisis of gun violence in our community. We create innovative policy, advocate for changes in laws, and promote community education to reduce gun violence.

Oh, and they’re both endorsed by Everytow/Moms Demand Action:

Yeah, I’m sure making drive-by shootings charges less severe due to racial reasons will totally help with their goals (which the reality is they are just like every other gun control organization out there). These organizations care NOTHING about going after criminals, only their political opposition (regular gun owners who have weapons that they don’t like, for example). You can bet they will not object to their 2 politicians introducing this bill.
