March For Our Lives ditches black community, focus shifts to white suburban population (where the $ is)

Everytown For Gun Safety’s media arm (the Trace) recently published an article about the gun control group (that they heavily funded initially) March For Our Lives. In short, donations have dried up and the organization was now being sued by a former employee for racial discrimination (racial discrimination has been accused of Everytown brass as well. See here, here and here) and retaliation against racist policies. The article touches briefly on the guts of the lawsuit (regarding what racist policies were brought up) and focuses more on the financial aspects and the money drying up (Mom-At-Arms actually covered this as well). Scouring the net, no direct link to the documents were available. Don’t worry, though, they’ve been obtained!
The complaint by Zachary Ford starts off by giving a brief overview.

Ford was a great employee it looks like

So when and why did things get sour? MFOL announced a shift of policy, which is no longer paying attention to on black on black/minority violence and instead shifting to white people only.

This upset many of the staff.

Ford shocked that they’re in trouble financially because he was recently praised for his fundraising. Also, a minority staff member raises concerns about the racist new policy and is immediately discarded/shut down.

Retaliation occurs, thus leading into the
is lawsuit.

So, in short, MFOL doesn’t see the need to even pay attention to inner city violence being conducted by a large minority population (with the overall murdered victims of violent crimes being minorities as well) and instead wants to focus on whites in order to get money out of them. Always remember, gun control groups go where the $ is.
