Oh those silly goons at Everytown For Gun Safety

Updated: May 20, 2020

Update: this article was shared by 1MMAGC. Looks like we offended one of Everytown’s goons lol. Say hi to Laird:

Laird is your typical anti-gun activist who thinks everything links back to insecurity and race. These people don’t think anyone who owns a firearm owns one for safety and protection (that’s the government’s job, they’re a phone call and 10-15 minutes away in an emergency). Back to original article :)

Got a lovely text from Bloomberg’s henchmen today:

They’re mad that the Trump administration deemed firearms makers and gun stores an “essential” industry during a national emergency. Here‘s the link in the message and what it says:

In a new low, the NRA and its allies have pressured the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) to consider gun shops essential businesses. It's shameful that the Trump administration has decided to deem gun dealers and manufacturers as essential as police, first responders, hospital workers, and other workers who are risking everything to save lives during the COVID-19 pandemic.
SIGN THE PETITION: Tell Trump's DHS that gun shops are not essential businesses.
Dear President Trump, Secretary Wolf, and Director Krebs,
Your decision to add gun stores to the list of essential critical infrastructure implies that firearms are essential to confronting the current COVID-19 public health crisis and protecting our country’s infrastructure. The fact is that firearms won’t make people safer in the face of this pandemic — and leaving gun stores open puts their owners, customers, and all of their families at risk of contracting the virus, for no public health benefit at all. I urge you to remove gun stores from the list of essential businesses in order to protect the health and safety of our country.

Ah yes, they care about the health of gun store owners and those buying guns. It’s for their health that they want them closed. That’s not what Moms Demand Action (Everytown’s activists) say:

You see, they’re afraid that their agenda is being sidelined by more and more Americans choosing to purchase firearms for self defense due to the uncertainty of what’s going on during the pandemic. They’re also just fearful people in general that can‘t fathom personal responsibility and feel the government should control everything. Moms Demand Action knows that they need to spin it to be about something else, so now it’s because they “care” about gun store owners and gun owners. Ha! Truth is they’re out of ammo (no pun intended) and know they’re SOL and loosing support daily. The funny thing is their own activists are possibly responsible for spreading COVID-19, as they held a lobby day at the end of February in which one of the legislators they were cozying up to became infected and died just days ago (remember it can take up to 2 weeks to show symptom). At the very least they came in contact with him at the early onset of the asymptomatic stage (still contagious) and could have contracted the virus and spread it themselves.

If Watts and Everytown truly cares about the safety and well being of gun shops and gun owners, they’d put politics aside. They haven’t.

Seems the little petition they have is not being honest of why they want gun shops closed, eh? Even CNN calls out the above fear mongering and sets the record straight:

Federal law requires anyone purchasing a gun from a licensed firearms seller in the United States to pass a criminal background check, which is submitted to the FBI's National Instant Criminal Background Check System (NICS).
The bureau declined to confirm whether or not it has seen a coronavirus-fueled rise in background checks, but its latest available NICS figures show a 73% rise in background checks in February when compared to the same month a year ago.

So, before you trust these people’s agenda, look deeper into what their goal really is, ask yourself why Everytown and Moms Demand Action want you and your family to not become a gun owner during a national emergency. Be weary, new gun owners or people that don’t know who they are. They’re lying and being deceptive to try and recruit you into their ranks:

Keep it up, Watts (founder of Moms Demand Action, Everytown’s ground activists), we all know you’re full of it.

EDIT: Here’s an email they sent out today as well:

Again notice they don’t mention the reasons stated in the petition. It‘s a sham (which is the Everytown For Gun Safety way of doing things).
