Everytown/Moms Demand Action being sued by former employee for racial discrimination

Mom-at-Arms has covered the suspected discrimination against minority employee at Everytown for Gun Safety/Moms Demand Action a few times in the past. These were based on employee reviews on Glassdoor and Indeed. Those articles can be viewed below in the links.

Racism, sexism and “rampant alcoholism”, as one former employee stated. It’s been ongoing for almost a decade too if you look at the reviews, and still is. Here’s a recent one:

Who would have thought that a billionaire (New Yorker Michael Bloomberg) funded anti-rights organization would have so many internal issues, right?!?!?!? Well, all these anonymous employee claims just got grounded a tad further in fact…and with a name…..in federal court.

Meet A’drienne Johnson, a former organizer for Moms Demand Action.

She also had the spotlight a few times:

Well, she is now suing Everytown/Moms Demand Action for wrongful termination/discrimination. All documents going forward can be found here:

Let’s dive into the claims, focus on bullet 14 and after:

WOW!!!! Just WOW!!! Obvious issues with racism is alive and well at Everytown/Moms Demand Action it seems! This is her formal complaint by the way to the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission:

See the mention of PIP above? Here is an email and her response to that email regarding the PIP (Performance Improvement Plan, basically a formal way to set someone up to get fired):

Now let’s also look at her most recent Everytown Employee review before this all happened and she was set up to be let go. Doesn’t exactly scream “PIP” now does it……:

Let’s fast forward to the end of the review. You get the idea. She was a good employee and had no problems.

Her termination even shocked a fellow organizer with MDA, who goes into some detail on a racist exchange that happened and is willing to testify on behalf of A’drieine:

Also, the head of the Arkansas chapter of MDA, which she was tasked with helping grow by Everytown corporate, submitted a statement in her favor the court:

As you can see (I know, lots of reading, but draw your own conclusions), it really seems A’driene was set to fall on a sword for her complaints to leadership, which do, in fact, bring the case that Everytown retaliated against her for trying to get the problem fixed. Per Everytown’s employee handbook:

This organization has a long standing history of being “toxic” and “racist” via current and former employees. It is well documented (via reviews and now this court case) that Everytown/Moms Demand Action brass appears to have an issue with rooting out toxic members who discriminate and use racially charged language in the workplace. It also makes one wonder why these politicians and leaders continue to tolerate it. I mean, just look at who these people at the top of this org are and who they’re aligning with. They’re embedded in state governments and their politicians (cough cough Abigail Spanberger).

Racism and discrimination is alive and well in these Democrat organizations, which is funny, because they ALWAYS accuse the pro-gun side of being racist……….

The case is still ongoing, with the last actions having been taken last week (as of time of publish of this article).
