After years of people from all over trying and getting denied, MAA researchers made a breakthrough with the ATF and got documents via FOIA relevant to the 2009 raid and seizure of airsoft guns out of Oregon. Here’s the story (as well as a new blurb and the agent in charge of this below, as noted on some of the documents):
Well, here they are for your viewing pleasure. I guess toys can be entered into evidence/confiscated/destroyed as NFA machine guns, even though it’s clear with the included shipped airsoft BB’s (seen in the shipping manifest) that they’re just toys. Best part is when they compare it to a real lower just based on visuals 🤪:
