Glock vs. GlockStore.com: Clearing Up the Confusion (and the Rumors)

In the world of firearms and accessories, brand recognition is everything. But sometimes, that recognition can lead to confusion—especially when two entities share a name but not a relationship. One such case is the Glock brand and the website GlockStore.com.
No Official Affiliation
Despite what the name might suggest, GlockStore.com is not owned by, operated by, or officially affiliated with Glock Ges.m.b.H, the Austrian manufacturer of the iconic Glock pistols. Glock is a globally recognized firearms company known for its reliability, innovation, and law enforcement partnerships.
GlockStore.com, on the other hand, is a private U.S.-based retailer that sells aftermarket parts, accessories, and customization services for Glock pistols.
This distinction is important for consumers who may assume GlockStore.com is an official outlet or endorsed by Glock. It is not. Glock has made clear in various forums and communications that it does not control or endorse GlockStore.com.
What GlockStore.com Actually Is
GlockStore.com is a commercial website that offers:
• Aftermarket Glock parts and accessories
• Custom slide cuts, barrels, triggers, and optics
• Apparel and gear branded for Glock enthusiasts
• Some factory Glock parts—but not direct from Glock
While many customers use GlockStore.com to upgrade or personalize their pistols, reviews are mixed. Some praise the selection and customization options, while others report issues with inventory accuracy, shipping delays, and customer service responsiveness.
Debunking the November 30th Discontinuation Rumor

Recently, GlockStore.com posted a claim that all Glock models except the 43, 43X, and 48X will be discontinued on November 30th. This statement is false.
Glock has not issued any official confirmation of such a sweeping discontinuation. The rumor appears to stem from confusion surrounding California’s new legislation targeting conversion-capable firearms, which may affect how certain models are sold or transferred in that state, but it does not reflect Glock’s global manufacturing decisions.
To put it plainly, Glock has insight to their numbers and what works best for the brand. If older models aren't selling off the shelves to the point that the profits from them aren't enough to keep the lights on at Glock HQ, then the sad reality is that profit focus needs to shift. Sometimes that involves dumping old inventory to make room for newer that IS bringing in a profit. The post by GlockStore (NOT GLOCK) has created a bit of confusion as if Glock will be telling all who own their discontinued models to take a flying leap. THAT is not the case. Glock actually states that they will continue to be a service to those who own their discontinued or older gens. They state all of this information at the bottom of their Discontinued List.
This is a textbook example of why brand affiliation matters. Misinformation from unaffiliated retailers… and even social media influencers… can cause panic, mislead buyers, and distort public understanding of firearm availability and policy.

Why the Distinction Matters
Understanding the lack of affiliation helps consumers:
• Avoid assuming factory warranties or support apply to GlockStore purchases
• Recognize that parts and modifications may not be Glock-approved
• Make informed decisions when choosing where to buy parts or services
• Spot and challenge misinformation before it spreads
For official Glock products, consumers should seek out authorized dealers listed on Glock’s official website or contact Glock directly.
Bottom Line
Glock is Glock.
GlockStore is not.
The similarity in names may be convenient for marketing, but it does not imply any formal connection. If you’re looking for factory-backed products, training, or support, go straight to the source. If you’re exploring customization, tread carefully and do your homework.
Edit/Update: As of 10/21/2025, multiple dealer connections have claimed the same as GlockStore.com, but GLOCK (themselves) have NOT confirmed in a public release. Looks like the rumors are just something built upon by the information stated above in THIS article, as well as what they announced back in April of 2025 at SHOT Show: It's Glover: Glock to Discontinue Dozens of Legacy Models
Looks like folks have either become slow to the drama around this issue, or those in the industry of making profits off of the Glock brand, but not directly affiliated, are using this as a marketing push for their personal businesses. Not illegal but definitely leads to a bit of "He said, She said" chaos.
IF any of the assumptions are true, GLOCK needs to stand on business and put out a PSA to clear the air, ASAP. Folks are getting crazy!
PS: Hi-Point would’ve never done this to us. #IYKYK
