Gun control group is mad that the USA exists because of armed civilians

While most normal Americans are out celebrating the 250th anniversary of our country’s founding, the gun control group March For Our Lives is complaining that we exist as a nation because of guns.

What’s even worse is their 4th of July blog article. Here’s a snippet:
A gunfight won the Revolutionary War. One of the most familiar symbols of Americanism is the image of a Revolutionary War soldier holding a musket longer than his torso. The country, as we know it, was built through intimidation and murder, and was fought for with ever-evolving firepower.
As the colonizers settled on the East Coast and eventually moved West, Native people were brutally eradicated with unfamiliar weapons: muskets and rifles. The Bear River Massacre in 1863, the Sand Creek Massacre in 1864, and the Massacre at Wounded Knee in 1890 are only three from a list of hundreds of violent acts against Native people committed with firearms. The land we stand on, the land we call home, was taken by guns. It’s no accident that an American identity is framed in gun violence. The country was built on the displacement and killing of those seen as a barrier to the new way of life, an American way of life.
Wow, how uplifting………and to think the other of that wants to be a key player in the Colorado Democratic Party. The Brady Campaign’s 4th of July tweet wasn’t much better:

And how about Giffords?

Just a reminder to all these insufferable red coat sympathizers who hate this country and can’t even take a day to put their negativity aside:

Happy Birthday, USA 🇺🇸
